Nations League attract full as England, Wales and Scotland study their teams
England, Wales and Scotland have learned their groups for the 2026 Nations League on Thursday afternoon.
The eyes of European football descended on the Brussels Expo in Belgium, where the draw was taking place, as teams learned their fate for the tournament which starts in September. England are back in League A, after winning promotion last time out.
And Thomas Tuchel’s side have been drawn in a group with Spain, Croatia and Czechia. England have been joined in Group A by Wales, with Craig Bellamy’s side stunning the footballing world to win promotion to the top tier – and they will clash with Portugal, Denmark and Norway.

Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland are all in League B. With Scotland, handed the toughest draw out of the trio as they face Switzerland, Slovenia and North Macedonia.
However, Norther Ireland’s task isn’t any easier and they face tricky clashes with Hungary, Ukraine and Georgia.
Elsewhere in League A there are tasty clashes between France, Italy and Belgium in Group A and Germany and the Netherlands in Group B.
