Why William Saliba is out for Arsenal vs Brentford defined as Mikel Arteta handed new blow

William Saliba misses Arsenal’s clash with Brentford in the Premier League as Mikel Arteta’s Premier League leaders are handed a new blow

William Saliba is unavailable for Arsenal’s clash against Brentford this evening due to illness. The Gunners centre-back was not part of the squad that arrived at the Emirates Stadium ahead of kick-off on Thursday night.

With Saliba unavailable for the fixture, Mikel Arteta has introduced Cristhian Mosquera to the starting line-up for Arsenal’s clash against the Bees.

Saliba did feature in training for Arsenal this week at the Sobha Realty Training Centre, but has not been included in the squad to face Brentford due to illness.

Arteta made four changes to the Arsenal team that defeated Sunderland 3-0 last weekend, with Mosquera joining Piero Hincapie, Viktor Gyokeres, and Eberechi Eze in being introduced to the starting line-up.
