Paedo who requested woman, 12 to be his ‘intercourse slave’ jailed once more days after jail launch

Repeat offender, Neil Mclean, 44 has spent the past decade in and out of jail for sexual offences against children and repeatedly flouting court orders – he’s now back behind bars

A convicted paedophile who messaged a 12-year-old girl asking her to become a sex slave has been thrown back behind bars just five days after being released. Neil Mclean has spent the past decade in and out of jail for sexual offences against children and repeatedly flouting court orders.

The 44 year old ex-Asda employee was first banged up in 2016 following a series of messages sent to what he believed was a 12-year old-girl. However, after the initial Facebook contact, the youngster had alerted her grandmother, who then became a paedophile hunter and replied whilst pretending to be the child.

He was jailed again in 2018 after being caught by a vigilante group masquerading as a 14-year-old girl, reports Chronicle Live.

In 2023, the predator found himself once more locked up after violating a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO). Teesside Crown Court was told that during a visit to his property, officers discovered McLean had used his mobile phone to access Facebook, dating websites and platforms including extremechat.com, mymilfmatch.com and together2night.com..

This week, just five days following his release from prison, Mclean appeared back in the dock after yet again breaching his SHPO. Newcastle Magistrates’ Court was told that, on this occasion, Mclean, previously of Teesside but now residing at Cuthbert House, in Gateshead, neglected to inform police about a smartphone when they visited his address, opting instead to conceal it in a drawer.

The paedophile has now been jailed for an additional 24 weeks after pleading guilty to one count of breaching a SHPO. Clare Haswell, prosecuting, explained that Mclean was freed from prison on February 5 and officers called at his bail hostel on February 10.

Miss Haswell continued: “They went to his room and asked for any electronic devices he had.

“He gave them a Nokia ‘brick’ phone, as he would say. He was acting suspiciously and acted in a shocked manner when they came into his room.

“He was taken to a private room and a worker went into his room and went in his drawers and found a large, black smart phone plugged into a power bank.”

The court was informed that Mclean had 23 offences on his record, 11 of which being sex offences and six for breaching a SHPO.

In December 2016, he was slapped with a 40-month prison sentence for a litany of offences including creating indecent images, inciting a minor to engage in sexual activity, and possession of a paedophile manual.

This came just months after he had been given a community order for producing indecent images of children.

The court was told how he had messaged a 12-year-old girl on Facebook, propositioning her for sex. Her response was a blunt ‘f*** off’, and she informed her grandmother who then took over the conversation pretending to be the child.

He made lewd requests to who he believed was the child, asking her to be a “sex slave”, requesting pictures of her in her underwear, and soliciting her for sex during their online exchange. After his release, he was snared by a vigilante group in 2018, posing as a 14-year-old girl.

The chat took a sexual turn and McLean arranged to meet who he thought was an underage girl in Darlington. Instead, he walked into a sting operation set up by the group.

He has since found himself behind bars multiple times for breaching SHPOs.

Regarding his most recent offence, magistrates were informed that nothing “untoward” had been discovered on Mclean’s smartphone and he couldn’t provide an explanation as to why he hadn’t reported it to the police.
