The Epstein video recordsdata: The most annoying clips and particulars – from women made to strip beside a favoured teddy bear to decades-old pornography and forcibly exposing ladies’s breasts

On January 30, the US Department of Justice (DOJ) published a tranche of over three million files related to the late child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

More than 180,000 images and 2,000 videos – or 14 hours of footage – were included in the release, giving the public a glimpse into the sordid operation the serial paedophile ran.

The files show how the disgraced financier solicited explicit, self-filmed from young women as a matter of habit, with several of the clips featuring girls in a state of undress.

In many, the young women are seen performing sexual acts in their bedrooms, often featuring the same large teddy bear in frame.

In one video, the paedophile is seen forcibly exposing an unidentified woman’s breasts to the camera, despite multiple attempts from her to remove his hands away.

Also released in the files were several pornography films the American millionaire presumably downloaded onto his personal computer, including a vintage video entitled ‘Tiny Bubbles’, featuring Japanese adult entertainer Azari Kumiko.

Epstein also made young girls perform in semi-clothed catwalk auditions, lending evidence to the theory that the financier lured victims into his control by masquerading as a Victoria’s Secret talent scout.

Other disturbing clips show Epstein dancing alongside potential victims, as well as him enjoying private ‘entertainment’ by unclothed young females in a red-panelled study in his Paris home.

Several of the disturbing clips showing young girls stripping in their bedrooms seem to feature the same stuffed animal – a large, brown teddy bear.

The Daily Mail has edited the footage to further conceal the victims’ identities, in addition to the redactions already put in place by the DOJ.

The footage chimes with the kind of emails Epstein was sending potential victims, which show how the financier frequently solicited sexually provocative nude images and videos.

‘Where are my new photos?’ the sex offender wrote to one redacted email address on June 11, 2015.

‘My butt used to be smaller…now it hardly fits in the photo,’ the unidentified person replied.

‘When do you leave for home? phots are grat [Sic],’ Epstein said a day later, before asking again: ‘Take some nudes sexy if you are comfortable.’

‘Head straight , stand on toes , twist torso,’ he says to another unidentified person on Skype in 2012. ‘That pose nude,’ he adds, in response to a redacted photo. ‘Yes, much better, try sexy try to look straight at the mirror.’

The woman, clearly an aspiring model, questions whether she will always have to be photographed unclothed. ‘And I wanted to ask, if i do modeling, is it possible not to do nudes?’

‘You look great, be brave try new things,’ Epstein replies, adding later: ‘Try different pose experiment full frontal try … stop being afraid you keep what you want try a sexy look , laugh.’

Other videos published by the US authorities are explicitly pornographic in nature, including a video filmed at beach, with the camera zooming in on a woman seemingly in a state of undress.

While there is no indication Epstein filmed the footage himself, it appears he downloaded the video onto his computer from a third-party distributor.

More than a dozen videos from the latest tranche show young women – their faces heavily censored – dancing for the late financier in his French property.

Epstein appears to be filming the footage from his desk, with several items placed on the table including a paternity test.

Sometimes, the girls are dancing in pairs or solo, and often are seen in a state of undress or removing clothes throughout the routine.

The red room where the dances were filmed is the same study where Lord Peter Mandelson was photographed in his underpants, next to a woman in a white bathrobe.

Emails published by the DOJ show the former Washington ambassador frequently stayed at the luxurious apartment on Avenue Foch, which overlooks the Arc de Triomphe, and also used it to host business meetings.

Another clip released by US authorities shows a potential victim dancing provocatively to a rendition of Amy Winehouse’s Back To Black, wearing black stockings and festive tinsel.

In 1997, the serial sex offender assaulted model and aspiring actress Alicia Arden at a hotel in Santa Monica, after he told the 27-year-old he was a talent scout for Victoria’s Secret.

When Arden arrived at his hotel room for what she thought was an audition for the brand’s catalog, Epstein grabbed her, tried to undress her and said he wanted to ‘manhandle’ her, causing her to run away in tears.

Speaking to the New York Times about when the financier assaulted her, the 56-year-old said: ‘His weapons were his hands.’

She recounted how she went to the police the day after the attack, concerned that he could be using his connection to Victoria’s Secret to harm other women.

Her testimony remains one of the earliest known police records of an allegation of sexual misconduct against the American millionaire.

Other videos from the files appear entirely without context, and seem to have been downloaded for their humorous quality.

One clip is a comedy sketch from Rowan Atkinson, famous for his hapless Mr Bean character, while another features the ‘Hot Crazy Matrix A Man’s Guide to Women’, a sketch performed by Dana McLendon, where he maps out what he says constitutes a perfect female partner to heterosexual men.

In other bizarre clips, Indian-American author and new age guru Deepak Chopra appears to recite spiritual advice about mind-body connection and humankind’s place in the universe.

‘I am deeply saddened by the suffering of the victims in this case, and I unequivocally condemn abuse and exploitation in all forms,’ Chopra wrote on X following the release of the files.

‘ I want to be clear: I was never involved in, nor did I participate in, any criminal or exploitative conduct. Any contact I had was limited and unrelated to abusive activity.

‘Some past email exchanges have surfaced that reflect poor judgment in tone.

‘I regret that and understand how they read today, given what was publicly known at the time. My focus remains on supporting accountability, prevention, and efforts that protect and support survivors.’

Email correspondences show Epstein and the new medicine advocate planning meetings and discussing the physical attractiveness of women as late as 2018, nine years after the financier was released from Palm Beach County Jail for soliciting prostitution from a minor.

In a February 2017 correspondence, Chopra seemingly asks Epstein to visit Israel with him and an unnamed group.

‘Come to Israel with us,’ Chopra says. ‘Relax and have fun with interesting people. [if] you want use a fake name . Bring your girls. It will be fun to have you . Love.’

Among the more disturbing aspects of the files is a clip of an unidentified woman receiving a massage, with a towel covering her naked body.

Epstein met victims through recruiting them to work initially as his masseuses, but soon the sexual abuse would begin once they were lured into his sphere of control.

A Republican US lawmaker on Wednesday accused Attorney General Pam Bondi of concealing the names of powerful associates of the convicted sex offender as she faced questions about the DOJ’s handling of investigative files in a charged hearing before a House of Representatives panel.

Representative Thomas Massie, a Republican from Kentucky, who helped lead the effort to require the files’ release, accused the DOJ of a ‘massive failure’ to comply with the law as he questioned why billionaire Leslie Wexner’s name was redacted in an FBI document listing potential co-conspirators in the sex trafficking investigation into Epstein.

Bondi said Wexner’s name appeared numerous times in other files the department released and that the DOJ unredacted his name on the document ‘within 40 minutes’ of Massie spotting it.

‘Forty minutes of me catching you red-handed,’ Massie replied.

Wexner, a former CEO and founder of Victoria’s Secret-owner L Brands, hired Epstein as his personal money manager starting in the 1980s.

He once praised the disgraced financier as ‘a most loyal friend’ with ‘excellent judgment and unusually high standards’.

He has accused Epstein of using his money to buy properties and goods and says he severed ties around 2007, after Epstein was first criminally charged.

Following Epstein’s arrest in 2019, model Arden said she had wondered whether his connections to Wexner allowed him to get away with the crimes he was charged with.

‘Why would someone that powerful and successful befriend someone like Jeffrey Epstein?’ she told the Times. ‘I don’t get it.’

Wexner has denied knowledge of Epstein’s criminal activities and has not been accused of criminal wrongdoing.

Lawmakers have complained that redactions in the files appear to go beyond the limited exemptions allowed in a law Congress passed nearly unanimously in November.

The department has also declined to publish around 50 per cent of the material they possess, citing legal privileges.

Bondi responded to the criticism in many cases with personal attacks and insults directed at lawmakers.

Flipping through a binder, she accused Democrats of being indifferent to crime victims in their districts and called the panel’s top Democrat a ‘washed-up lawyer,’ a notably partisan tone from the chief law enforcement officer in the US.

Democratic Representative Pramila Jayapal, of Washington, asked Bondi to apologise to victims of Epstein’s alleged crimes for the department’s rollout of the files, including the disclosure of victims’ names in some cases.

Bondi questioned why Jayapal had not asked the same question of her predecessor under Democratic President Joe Biden’s administration and said she would not ‘get in the gutter for her theatrics’.

In a joint letter addressed to Bondi following the publication of the latest of Epstein files, 25 survivors wrote: ‘We must be clear: this release does not provide closure.

‘It feels instead like a deliberate attempt to intimidate survivors, punish those who came forward, and reinforce the same culture of secrecy that allows Epstein’s crimes to continue for decades.’

Referring to the extensive redactions in the documents, the women continued: ‘Survivors are not asking the Justice Department to “invent evidence”.

‘We are asking the Department to release the evidence that already exists, to explain why millions of pages remain withheld, and to stop treating accountability as optional when the perpetrators are wealthy and well-connected.’
