Swindon Asda sees two males die in double tragedy as emergency providers swarm
Two people have sadly passed away in separate incidents at the same Asda branch in front of shoppers.
The two men suddenly suffered medical emergencies with emergency services called to the Asda at the West Swindon District Centre just days apart.
Crews made “extensive efforts” to save the life of the man after emergency services were called to the ASDA at 4:55pm on Friday (February 13) last week. A man in his 70s was reportedly experiencing a cardiac arrest and died around 40 minutes later, according to police.
Wiltshire Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We were called to Asda, West Swindon, at 4.55pm following reports of a male in cardiac arrest.

“Extensive efforts were made to save the man’s life, but he sadly died around 40 minutes later. The death is being treated as non-suspicious and no one has been arrested.”
The second incident saw emergency teams called at around 10:15am on Sunday (February 15) to reports of another medical incident. A man in his 70s was declared dead at the scene, the police have confirmed.
The force passed on the thoughts of officers to the family and added there were no suspicious circumstances.

The South Western Ambulance Service said it was called at 10:08am to the “incident”.
They sent a two double-crewed land ambulances and an air ambulance to the scene, according to the Swindon Advertiser reported.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust said: “We were called at 10.08am on Sunday, February 15, to an incident in Swindon.
“We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, an air ambulance, and an operations officer to the scene.”
