BREAKING Andrew seen for first time as he leaves police custody after bombshell arrest
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been released from police custody after being held for hours as cops combed Royal Lodge.
The shamed ex-royal was pictured in the back seat of a car leaving a police station on Thursday night.
It comes after he was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in a public office at around 8am on his 66th birthday.
The former prince, who became the first senior royal in modern history to be arrested, is accused of sharing sensitive information with paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein while serving as the UK’s trade envoy.
A black Range Rover arrived at Aylsham police station in Norfolk at approximately 6.50pm on Thursday evening. It tried to get in via an electronic gate but was unable to do so as gate broken.
It went in via another gate after waiting 10 minutes. Five minutes later a large garage door in the building opened and two cars could be seen, including the Range Rover.
It drove past the waiting reporters. A press photographer was able to take a picture of Andrew’s trying to lie down on the back seat.
His brother, the King, said earlier that “the law must take its course” after expressing his “deepest concern” over the arrest, which came after millions of files were released by the US Department of Justice in relation to the Epstein scandal.
