Teen boy and lady discovered lifeless in ‘unexplained’ half-term double tragedy at vacation park
A double tragedy has struck a popular holiday park this half-term as a teen girl and boy were tragically found dead.
The 15-year-old girl and boy, 17, were sadly declared dead at Little Eden Holiday Park in Bridlington, East Riding of Yorkshire, yesterday (February 18).
A cordon remains at the scene this morning as police confirm the teens were found in a property on the site.
Humberside Police also confirmed a 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter and remains in custody.
The force added that the deaths remain “unexplained” but it was looking into the possibility that “they may be connected to carbon monoxide poisoning”.

Humberside Police also confirmed it has attended all the properties at the holiday park and deemed them safe.
Northbank Divisional Commander, Chief Superintendent Matt Peach said: “Emergency services were in immediate attendance at the holiday park, where sadly a 15-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy were pronounced deceased inside the property.
“This is incredibly distressing and heartbreaking for the families of the teenagers involved, and they are at the forefront of our minds and actions.
“Specially trained officers have been supporting the families over the last 24-hours, and I would please ask people to refrain from any form of speculation and to respect their privacy.
“A cordon remains in place to allow enquiries to continue, and we are working closely with Humberside Fire & Rescue, the Health and Safety Executive, and East Riding of Yorkshire Council to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
“We have a dedicated team conducting extensive enquiries, some of which have been complex and required additional time to complete. As part of the investigation, I can confirm a 33-year-old man has been arrested today on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter and remains in custody.
“Whilst we are in the very early stages and the deaths at this time remain unexplained, we are exploring the possibility that they may be connected to carbon monoxide poisoning, with further enquiries continuing with our partner agencies.
“Emergency Services and partner agencies have attended all other properties on the site to offer advice, support and guidance and ensure everyone’s safety.
“We know the shock and upset this will cause to the local community, and I want to offer my reassurance we will do all we can to determine exactly what has happened.
“Those living in the area will continue to see an increased police presence and we will provide further updates as soon as we are able to.”
Speaking to the Bridlington Echo, Park Staff Solutions Limited, the management company of Little Eden Country Park, have commented on the tragedy.
In a statement, they said: “We were extremely sorry to learn of the sad demise of two young holiday makers. Their bodies were found yesterday morning and the police are conducting their enquiries as to the cause of this tragic death.
“We send our profound condolences to the parents, family and friends of two young people who have lost the fulfilment of their life and dreams.
“We are here to be of any assistance to the family and join with the entire community of the park and locality in mourning these two young people.”
