Donald Trump’s order to release government files on UFOs has triggered fresh fears over Baba Vanga’s chilling prediction that 2026 is the year humans finally meet aliens.

Trump’s surprising move comes after he accused Barack Obama of leaking “classified information” by suggesting on a podcast that aliens are real.
The President told reporters on Air Force One: “I don’t know if they’re real or not. I may get [Obama] out of trouble by declassifying.”
He added that he was opening the vaults due to “tremendous interest” in the “highly complex, but extremely interesting and important” matters.
While Trump says he doesn’t have an opinion on little green men, Baba Vanga’s followers are already afraid of what might be hidden in those files.
The blind seer, who died in 1996, reportedly envisioned a “large spacecraft” entering Earth’s atmosphere later this year.
Even more worryingly, she suggested that we might actually be contacted by an unknown civilisation that is already present on our planet.
However, Vanga’s 2026 checklist isn’t just limited to space invaders. She also warned of a tumultuous year of shifting geopolitical power, a worsening climate crisis and the rise of AI.
While Obama recently clarified he hasn’t seen hard evidence of contact, he admitted that “statistically, the universe is so vast that the odds are good there’s life out there.”
