Dangerous rapper taunts police in new video after escaping jail twice

Daniel Boakye, a 21-year-old drill rapper from Enfield known as DSAVV, is at the centre of a major manhunt after escaping police custody twice in a week, and has now taunted officers

A notorious London rapper is on the loose after slipping through police hands not once, but twice in the space of a week. He has now started taunting officers in a brazen new video.

Daniel Boakye, the fugitive drill rapper, has continued to mock authorities with bold social media posts. The 21-year-old, who goes by the stage name DSAVV, uploaded a new video to Instagram on Saturday (February 21).

In the video, Boakye rapped the line: “Catch me if you can.” Moreover, the clip shows the artist, hood up, miming to lyrics like “I’m the guy, yeah the boss of the UK” and “done it twice now, they think I’m insane,” before repeating his taunt while pretending to drive.

The convicted criminal, who faces deportation to Ghana, had previously boasted “I’m free” and “Fresh home!!!” in another video, which featured a news article about his escape playing in the background. Boakye was reportedly serving time at HMP Feltham for a series of violent knifepoint robberies when he first escaped from West Middlesex University Hospital on February 10.

He was quickly recaptured in south-east London, but managed to give police the slip again just days later, fleeing from Lewisham Hospital on February 15 while in police custody for medical treatment, The Sun reported. In earlier videos, Boakye compared himself to notorious TV characters and lashed out at the government, sharing images of Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.

Authorities reportedly say Boakye’s deportation is still being “actively pursued”. After his initial arrest in Thamesmead, police detained four others on suspicion of helping him, but all have since been released on bail, according to The Sun.

Boakye is a British-Ghanaian drill rapper from Enfield, North London. The fugitive’s notoriety extends beyond his escapes.

Born around 2005 and raised in North London, he is of Ghanaian heritage and began making music in his teens. He quickly gained a following in the underground rap scene, known for his raw storytelling and gritty depictions of urban life.

He is associated with the prominent UK drill group OFB (Original Farm Boys), which is based on the Broadwater Farm estate in Tottenham. Among his best-known tracks are “No Kiddin’” and “Pocket Rocket”.

In July 2023, at the age of 18, Boakye was sentenced to six years and five months in prison for his role in a violent teenage gang that carried out a spree of knifepoint robberies across London. The gang specifically targeted victims for their cryptocurrency, stealing around £115,000 by forcing them to hand over phone passcodes at knifepoint.

Detectives eventually tracked down the group after they used stolen bank details to order takeaways to their own addresses. While serving his sentence at HMP Feltham, Boakye was scheduled to be deported to Ghana later in 2026.

However, his daring escapes and subsequent taunts on social media have made him a high-profile fugitive.
