A last-minute Easter staycation is a brilliant way to spend quality time with family and friends, all while avoiding the peak prices of the busy summer season. From a snug countryside cottage to a woodland lodge or a classic seaside caravan, spring is the perfect moment to get away.
With schools breaking up towards the end of March and Easter Sunday landing on 5 April, savvy Brits are already securing early bargains to keep holiday boredom at bay. Big names such as Haven and Parkdean Resorts are offering plenty of family-friendly seaside caravan breaks, while Sykes Cottages has a range of idyllic hideaways that feel like a true home from home.
Online deal site Wowcher is packed with quirky short breaks and overnight stays, and Holiday Cottages currently has attractive discounts on everything from cosy boltholes to luxurious holiday homes across the UK.

Guests who’ve stayed with Haven have shared plenty of glowing feedback on Tripadvisor, with many praising the “clean caravans” and “well-maintained parks.”
One guest who stayed at Marton Mere said: “Amazing park! Close to Blackpool pleasure beach and sandcastle water park. The facilities were very clean! Good value too! The atmosphere was amazing, it felt exciting and fun! Very good holiday park, I would recommend going to Marton Mere.”

Indoor swimming pool, large entertainment show room. An amusement arcade and a great restaurant.”
Another added: “Fantastic location to explore the Lizard and tip of Cornwall. Beam engines, coastal path, seaside resorts and great pubs. Clean, pretty location and helpful staff.”
However, some visitors were disheartened to discover additional charges for Wi-Fi, whilst others felt the caravans “weren’t up to scratch.”

Communication was excellent, and the cottage was exactly as advertised. I have recommended Sykes to family for their trips to UK.”
Another added: “When you book with Sykes, it’s straightforward. Holidays have always been very good and lovely places.”
Some guests, however, were less satisfied with the customer service, with one noting: “Customer service was not as efficient as it should be. Cumbersome and too long to reply.”
Wowcher
Bargain website Wowcher also provides an array of short breaks and holidays, with some still up for grabs over the Easter period. Featuring substantial reductions on glamping sites and hotels, the platform is a somewhat hidden treasure trove for affordable breaks.

Users have awarded Wowcher a 4.3 out of five-star rating on TripAdvisor, praising the “excellent deals” and “easy way to book holidays.” One customer said: “Great rates on good holiday breaks and ease of booking and redeeming Wowcher online.”
Another added: “Super duper easy, this is the second one I’ve done, and it’s always easy to do, easy to get in contact with the travel agents fast, at replying/answering the phone. Would recommend doing it, especially for a cheap girls’ holiday!
