Tim Cook drops a MAJOR trace that Apple will launch a sequence of brand name new merchandise subsequent week – together with a touchscreen MacE-book Pro
Tim Cook has dropped a major hint that Apple will release a series of brand new products next week.
The tech giant is hosting three ‘Special Experiences’ for media on Wednesday, taking place in Shanghai, London, and New York.
While Apple has remained tight–lipped about what’s in store, its CEO has given us a tantalising taste of what’s to come.
Taking to X, Mr Cook posted a six–second video of a hand swiping across a grey surface, before pinching and pulling to create the Apple logo.
‘A big week ahead. It all starts Monday morning!’ he captioned the video, along with the #AppleLaunch hashtag.
The clip has sparked speculation that Apple could be hosting a series of launches throughout the week, including a touchscreen MacBook Pro.
‘MacBook touch!’ one fan replied to the Apple CEO.
Another joked: ‘That 6-second clip just gave me more dopamine than my entire feed today.’

Bloomberg’s Apple expert, Mark Gurman, claims that one of the new devices will be a MacBook Pro with a touchscreen.
‘The new MacBook Pro looks similar to the current model, including a full keyboard and large trackpad,’ he explained, citing ‘people familiar with the matter.’
‘Still, the Mac will gain a refreshed, dynamic user interface that can shift between being optimized for touch or point-and-click input.’
Mr Gurman claims that if users touch a button or control, the interface will bring up a new type of menu surrouding their finger.
This may be what Mr Tim Cook is alluding to in his video, where he pinches and pulls the Apple logo.
‘The goal is to give users the controls that make the most sense based on whether they’re touching or clicking,’ Mr Gurman added.
Beyond the MacBook Pro, Apple is rumoured to be launching several other gadgets.
This includes a new entry-level iPad, the iPhone 17, and a low-cost MacBook aimed at students.

According to Mr Gurman, this MacBook will be ‘well under $1,000’, with a small display that measures just under 13–inches.
Despite the lower price point, the MacBook will be made from aluminium, not plastic, he adds.
‘Like all Macs, this machine — code–named J700 — will feature an aluminum chassis,’ Mr Gurman explained.
‘To stick with this premium material, Apple developed a new manufacturing process that allows the shells to be forged more quickly.
‘The technique is designed to be both faster and more cost–effective than the one used with Apple’s current laptops.’
Mr Gurman predicts Apple will opt for bright colours, to suit its target audience of students.
‘Over the past year, Apple has tested options such as light yellow, light green, blue, pink, classic silver and dark gray — though it’s unlikely all of these will ship,’ he said.
