Coleen Rooney has insisted she is the ‘boss’ in her family with husband Wayne and their four sons as she opened up about her home life with the former footballer.
The WAG, 39, and her family are giving fans an insight into their life as they let a film crew into their Cheshire pad to shoot a Disney documentary.
Coleen, who had previous success with her The Real Wagatha series on the streaming platform, will return with the £10million reality show.
Teasing what’s to come in an interview with the Sunday Times, Coleen joked that she is the ‘boss’ in the Rooney household and has to tell ‘laid back’ Wayne what to do.
She said: ‘I like everything in order, he’s a bit more laid-back.’ Does she boss him around? ‘He would probably say that, but I would say he needs telling sometimes.’
Wayne now spends much more time at home following his football pundit rebrand, where he has an £800,000 two year deal with the BBC.
He was previously the manager at Derby County, Birmingham City, DC United and Plymouth Argyle and spent a lot of time away.

But now he regularly appears on Match Of The Day as well as featuring on other former pros podcasts, which means he can be at home a lot more.
Reflecting on this, Coleen cheekily quipped it can be ‘annoying’: ‘In some ways it’s good, in some ways it’s annoying, because we’ve never had that much time together’.
In the summer, Disney+ announced a new reality series set to explore Wayne and Coleen Rooney‘s relationship ‘like never before’.
Coleen and Wayne share their sons, Kai, 16, Klay, 12 – who are now both on the books at Manchester United – and Kit, 10, and Cass, eight.
The family have also recently gained some new pets, two pigs. She revealed that Kit requested a pig, before learning that you had to buy them as a pair.
She said: ”My ten-year-old wanted a pet. And then it just developed that he wanted a pig. And you can’t buy one, you’ve got to buy two. So now we’ve got a pig pen in the garden. But it’s me that has to shovel up poo.’
The premium access series is titled The Rooneys and filming began last year.
The ten part doc-series will delve into the footballer and WAG’s lives ‘like we’ve never seen them before’.
It is set to see Coleen tackle ‘new entrepreneurial endeavours’ and Wayne stepping away from the football pitch to do school runs.

The new show has ‘unprecedented access’ into their world and dives into their everyday life, including highs like holidays and celebrations as well as the lows.
Coleen’s star is continually rising as she has also reportedly signed a multi-million-pound deal with international high-street retailer Primark.
Coleen finished as runner-up to McFly star Danny Jones on the 2024 series of I’m A Celebrity and is said to have been inundated with lucrative offers from fashion brands eager to cash in on her popularity.
However, she has chosen to stay true to her roots by teaming up with affordable fashion giant Primark in a deal signed last year.
She has reportedly created a stylish capsule collection with the retailer, which is set to launch in March 2026.
A source told The Sun: ‘Coleen is so proud to be a working mum and she wanted to keep things affordable for her fans.
‘She didn’t just sign for the cash, it was because she felt aligned with Primark’s values.

‘Coleen is super proud with the clothes she’s worked on with Primark. It’s got a real athleisure feel. Primark thinks it will fly off the shelves.’
Another insider added that Coleen worked closely on the entire collection, which has been designed for ‘working mums just like her’ and blends style with practicality.
As one of the UK’s most recognisable WAGs, it’s no surprise that Coleen was one of the richest names in I’m A Celeb’s 2024 lineup.
Married to former England star Wayne, the mother-of-four was reportedly paid an eye-watering £1.5 million salary, the most ever given to a star in the show’s history.
Coleen and Wayne boast an enormous £200 million fortune between them, with the former contributing £19 million to their wealth.
The Liverpool-born star has also had an extensive TV career that dates back to 2006, and in 2008, she starred in her own series, Coleen’s Real Women.
Coleen has also produced a bestselling exercise video, and was previously paid £3million to front a fashion campaign by George at Asda.
Meanwhile, she has also published several books, including her autobiography Welcome to My World in 2007.
Following her Wagatha Christie libel trial in 2022, it was also revealed that Rebekah Vardy would have to pay 90 per cent of Coleen’s legal costs, said to be up to £1.5million.
In 2019, Coleen publicly accused Rebekah of leaking information from her private Instagram account to the media, which she denied, before suing for defamation.
After a well-publicised legal battle, the judge sided with Coleen and ordered Rebekah to pay a large part of her legal bills.
The WAG, 42, agreed to pay £1,190,000 of Coleen’s legal bill, plus was ordered to pay a further £212,266 in assessment costs, after sensationally losing their high-profile libel case.
This took the total Rebekah must pay to at least £1,402,266.20. Daily Mail understands she has already paid some of the bill, including £800,000 four years ago and £100,000 last year.
