Barcelona followers smash rivals bus as Atletico Madrid topic to hostile welcome

Barcelona fans smashed the Atletico Madrid team bus ahead of their Copa Del Ray clash on Tuesday evening as they made their way to the stadium

Atletico Madrid were subject to a hostile welcome from Barcelona fans for their Copa Del Ray semi-final on Tuesday evening.

Barcelona had to make up a four-goal deficit if they dreamed of making the final of the Copa Del Ray, and their fans wanted to help their side maximise the home advantage. The night sky was turned red as flares were let off on the buses route to the stadium.

And videos emerged on social media of the two buses making their way through the hostile crowd. However, the crowd turned sour after it emerged the Atleti bus was hit by a projectile and a window was smashed.
