Married PE instructor, 39, ‘despatched X-rated pictures and straddled pupil’ who impressed her
The teacher is due in court accused of sexting, kissing and behaving inappropriately with male student who had ‘impressed her’, a court has heard.
A married high school teacher is facing two sex assault charges after she allegedly set her sights on a male student in her care.
The PE teacher is said to have sent the unnamed boy X-rated photos of herself, kissed him and even straddled him in a car as she groomed him. Alisha Crins, 39, was teaching at Ponaganset High School in Rhode Island in the US when she began trying to start a relationship with the teen student, she is alleged to have admitted to police.
It is claimed she found the high school boy’s phone number online and got in contact, pretending that she needed work doing while she went on holiday.
Messages between the pair quickly turned “flirty”, court documents reveal with the boy admitting his teacher would often text him telling him that he “looked good” after seeing him in the school corridors, a court heard. She allegedly once asked him if she could wear his jersey during the high school pep rally.
By the boy’s junior year, the PE teacher’s messages had turned sexual, court documents state. She said he had “impressed” her, according to the affidavit.
Crins was charged last Friday with two counts of third-degree sexual assault and she is due to appear again before judges later this month on March 18. Foster-Glocester Superintendent Dr. Renee Palazzo said in October that Crins was no longer employed in the district but the alleged abuse was ongoing for weeks after.
It is alleged she invited the student over to her house again weeks later and this time climbed on top of him and straddled the boy in the backseat where she sexually assaulted him. They are said to have both told investigators they had discussed having sex when he turned 18, but had never actually committed the act together. He claims the teacher also sent nude photos and videos of herself, but only after he became a legal adult, it is said.
She told officers that she had asked the teen, then 18, to stop contacting her because she was his teacher and she was married but admitted to exchanging text messages with the student that contained “sexual innuendoes” and said they had only kissed once on a side street next to her house.
The student, who graduated last spring, filed a formal complaint against Crins with Rhode Island State Police back in October, triggering the investigation into her conduct. When he was 17, Crins allegedly sent photos and videos of herself in lingerie and asked him for a kiss.
She then reportedly gave the teen her address and entered his car where she grabbed his face, kissed him for 15 minutes and stated: “I can’t believe I’m going to do this … You can’t tell anybody.” Investigators say she then bombarded the boy with flattering texts about what a “good kisser” he was and how she couldn’t “stop thinking about his lips.”
The case continues.
