Tech workers are seeing folks have intercourse by means of their £300 Meta Ray-Bans AI good glasses

The groundbreaking £300 Meta Ray-Bans specs reportedly have built-in cameras and microphones, allowing technology workers thousands of miles away to access any footage

Techies are allegedly seeing footage of people having sex through Meta’s AI smart glasses. The £300 Meta Ray-Bans specs have built-in cameras and microphones, allowing tech workers thousands of miles away to access any footage.

Clips are being sent for review at contact centres in Nairobi, Kenya, where workers have claimed to have seen illicit scenes. They include people going to the loo, taking off their clothes or having sex, according to reports in Swedish newspapers.

One worker said: “In some videos you can see someone going to the toilet, or getting undressed. I don’t think they know, because if they knew they wouldn’t be recording.”

A worker claimed: “We see everything – from living rooms to naked bodies.” And another said: “There are also sex scenes filmed with the smart glasses – someone is wearing them having sex.”

The smart glasses feature a light that turns on when they are recording. Videos from Meta’s AI glasses are reportedly sometimes sent to tech workers employed as “data annotators” paid to review videos and label them.

The data is then used to help improve the tech giant’s AI video software. Meta claims its smart glasses were “designed for privacy” and that users “are in control” of their data.

A Meta spokesman said: “When people share content with Meta AI, like other companies we sometimes use contractors to review this data to improve people’s experience with the glasses. This data is first filtered to protect people’s privacy.

“We take the protection of people’s data very seriously and we’re continuously refining our efforts and tools in this area.” Meta’s AI-powered smart glasses are now widely available to buy across the UK, with both the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) collection and the high-performance Oakley Meta series on offer.
