Daisy May Cooper reveals her worst ever Mother’s Day current was a ‘jalapeno hummus facial’ – and says what she actually desires is a day without work parenting to observe actuality TV
Daisy May Cooper has called for an end to ‘fake spa days’ from well-meaning husbands and children ahead of Mother’s Day on March 15.
In a new video, Daisy, 39, revealed the ‘worst gift’ she received was a DIY ‘spa day’ courtesy of her daughter.
‘Then she proceeded to cover my face in jalapeno hummus, and then she got some black nail polish and proceeded to paint my eyebrows,’ the mum-of-three recalled.
‘No more fake spa days!’ she declared.
The This Country star confirmed she would happily trade these pamper sessions in favour of a family member taking the children off her hands for a day.
Daisy confessed her favourite Mother’s Day present is free childcare so she can ‘watch reality TV‘ all day.
‘The best present I ever got was from my mum, and she babysat all my kids for an entire Saturday while I watched reality TV.
‘Dramas, women with lots of money, having affairs…it was blissful,’ she quipped.

Her top picks for presents include noise-cancelling headphones ‘to drown out the kids’ for a minute and a red light therapy face mask that works better than any hummus facial could.
Daisy shares daughter Pip, six, and five-year-old son Jack, with her ex-husband Will Weston.
She welcomed son, Benji, with her fiance Anthony Higgins, last June.
But she admitted that having a third child has in ‘no way’ made her want to have any more because the premature birth was so ‘scary’ last time.
She told Closer: ‘No way, Oh my God. It was terrible. It was so scary having him seven weeks premature.
‘I don’t think I’ve quite processed it. It’s one of those things that five years down the line I’ll think…”F***, how did we get through that?”‘
The TV star. who tends to keep her children out of the public eye, admitted that the little one is ‘fine now’ but jokingly called him a ‘miserable b******’.
Meanwhile, the Am I Being Unreasonable? star also gave an update on her ‘mad’ but ‘amazing’ time since giving birth, and how she managed new family dynamics.
She added: ‘My partner Ant has got two kids from his previous relationship, and obviously I’ve got two kids. They get on so well and Benji connects all of the children because they’re all brothers and sisters.’
Daisy divorced Will shortly after Jack was born, and it came about after she read about a woman who felt as if she had become ‘trapped’ by marriage.
Speaking about their split in 2022, the This Country star gushed that Will is ‘amazing’ and an ‘incredible’ father but admitted lockdown ‘shone a spotlight’ on their marital difficulties.
She explained how they both realised ‘there wasn’t real love there’ and they had felt pressure to get married and settle down once they reached their thirties.
Following their split, Daisy briefly dated Ryan Weymouth, but the pair parted ways in May 2022.
She went on to find love with current partner, Anthony, who she met on the dating app Hinge.
A DJ on the Bristol night scene who plays club shows under the moniker Fuse One, Anthony also has two children from a previous relationship.
Last February, sources revealed that Daisy and Anthony are ‘madly in love’ and had gotten engaged.
The video is part of Daisy May’s collaboration with British retailer John Lewis.
Marketing director Rosie Hanley said: ‘Daisy May Cooper is loved for her real talk and we knew that we needed a dose of this trademark honesty to find out what mums really want this Mother’s Day.’
