Shoppers gearing up for a big spring clean ahead of the new season can find a savvy deal on a carpet cleaner from Lakeland. The newer models of carpet cleaners are much smaller, making them easier to use and store.
They’re ideal for people who feel their floors need a good scrub, or for households with pets and children. Currently, Lakeland shoppers can save £50 on an own-brand Lakeland Carpet Spot Cleaner, now £199, originally priced at £169.
Lakeland’s cleaning device is significantly cheaper than Shark’s latest StainForce Cordless Spot Cleaner, priced at £169.99, as well as its older model, the StainStriker Stain & Spot Cleaner is now £123, down from £149.99. The Lakeland Carpet Spot Cleaner has four cleaning modes: warm water, hot water, steam, and sterilisation.
The warm mode is for cleaning delicate fabrics and surfaces, and the hot mode is for tougher stains on similar surfaces. The device’s steam mode is for deeper cleaning and is a great alternative to chemical carpet cleaning.
Lastly, the sterilisation mode kills bacteria and germs. Other features include an LED digital display. It’s also built with little wheels and a mini handle to make it easy to move around.
For comparison, Shark’s StainForce Cordless Spot Cleaner promises to remove tough stains like oil and wine and features a self-cleaning mode. Meanwhile, its StainStriker Stain & Spot Cleaner comes with a range of tools, including a Tough Stain Hand Tool, a Crevice Tool and two cleaning formulas.
For other options, look to Amazon, where this popular Vax SpotWash Home Duo is down to £109.99, from £179.99. This option comes with a tool kit containing an extra-wide 2-in-1 wash tool, a crevice tool, and a messy clean-up tool.
