Jeffrey Epstein’s jail guards ‘overheard plotting how one can cowl up’ his demise

A fellow inmate at the Metropolitan Correctional Center claims to have overheard prison guards plotting a cover-up in the moments after Jeffrey Epstein’s death according to a handwritten FBI report

An inmate has claimed to the FBI that, in the tense moments following Jeffrey Epstein’s death inside his New York jail cell, prison guards were overheard sharing disturbing conversations.

Moreover, one prison guard was reportedly heard saying: “If he’s dead, we’re going to cover it up.” The alleged exchange reportedly included frantic attempts to resuscitate Epstein and panicked talk of alibis.

A fellow inmate at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, where the late sex offender was found dead on August 10, 2019, has claimed he overheard prison guards plotting a cover up. The claims have come to light in a five-page handwritten FBI report.

In the early hours of August 10, 2019, “fierce whispers” reportedly echoed through the corridors outside the Special Housing Unit, the inmate told investigators. As officers rushed to Epstein’s cell, the prisoner alleges he heard them frantically urging: “Breathe!

“Breathe!” while attempting to resuscitate him at around 6.30am. Moments later, one guard reportedly exclaimed: “Dudes, you killed that dude”.

A woman’s voice subsequently responded: “If he’s dead, we’re going to cover it up and he’s going to have an alibi – my officers”, The Sun reported. The inmate identified the woman’s voice as Tova Noel, the 37-year-old federal guard responsible for monitoring Epstein on the night of his death.

According to the report, Noel had also Googled “latest on Epstein in jail” less than an hour before Epstein was discovered unresponsive. Nevertheless, she later denied this.

She reportedly said: “I don’t remember doing that.” Furthermore, she claimed FBI records were not “accurate”, as per The Sun.

Instead of conducting the required 30-minute checks, Noel and her colleague Michael Thomas were reportedly accused of falsifying records, shopping online, and even falling asleep during their shift. Both guards were dismissed and initially charged, though the case was ultimately dropped, according to The Sun.

Suspicion surrounding Epstein’s death has grown, with some inmates alleging that Noel was involved, despite the official ruling of suicide. Forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Baden, hired by Epstein’s estate, argued that Epstein’s injuries were more consistent with strangulation than hanging, fuelling conspiracy theories.

DOJ documents revealed unexplained cash deposits into Noel’s account before Epstein’s death, but she was never questioned about them. Blurry surveillance footage and conflicting statements from Noel have further intensified debate, though no direct evidence has emerged to confirm the allegations.

At the time of his death, Epstein was being held in the jail’s Special Housing Unit while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges. The New York City medical examiner officially ruled the cause of death as suicide by hanging.
