Prince William’s cryptic ‘that is one other dialog’ message to Kate in awkward second
A lip reader has decoded what members of the Royal Family may have been saying to each other at the Commonwealth Day service, from Prince William’s cryptic comment to Princess Anne’s cheeky remark
A lip reader has deciphered the Royal Family’s covert exchanges during the Commonwealth Day service. In what turned out to be the largest assembly of senior royals since Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest in February, high-ranking members of the Royal Family gathered at Westminster Abbey yesterday (March 9).
Among those attending the annual service were King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, the Princess of Wales, and Princess Anne, as well as celebrities like Geri Halliwell-Horner and Strictly’s Oti Mabuse, and the prime minister, Sir Keir Starmer.
Given the circumstances surrounding the former prince’s arrest, and with demonstrations by the anti-monarchist group Republic occurring outside the venue, it’s no surprise that all eyes were on the royals.
Now, lip reader Jeremy Freeman has provided insights into what members of The Firm might have been saying to each other as the event commenced, highlighting everything from a cryptic comment to a cheeky remark, reports the Mirror.
In one clip, William can be seen chatting with his aunt, Princess Anne, as organ music resonates in the background.
Jeremy informed us that William said to Anne: “I agree, of course, that’s another conversation.”
At this point, the camera moved to the right, where Charles and Camilla came into view. It’s not clear what this “conversation” was about. Moving towards William, Charles gestured upwards with both hands, and William bent forward and kissed his father on both cheeks before kissing Camilla. Charles said to William: “Oh, hello..”
At the same time, Camilla welcomed William: “Hello darling…good to see you.”
Rebecca English, The Daily Mail’s royal editor who shared the footage on X, wrote: “Lovely scenes as members of the Royal Family greet each other at today’s Commonwealth Day service at @wabbey – quite a bit of joking amongst the ladies about whether they should kiss given the size of their hats. Princess Anne made clear she wasn’t even going to try.”
She then spun around to address Timothy, saying: “That was fun.” The couple then walked to the top of the stairs to enter the service, and Anne remarked: “Wonderful”.
