Moment motorist smashes the wing mirror off one other automobile after ‘having milkshake thrown at him’

This is the moment an angry motorist smashes the wing mirror off another car in an act of road rage on a busy high street.

Behind him, a younger accomplice wields a hammer towards the Volkswagen Passat as it speeds away from the scene.

The pair had an altercation with the VW driver as both vehicles drove through Parkstone in Poole, Dorset.

In the video, the motorist is seen walking across the road as the VW does a three point turn.

As the motorist reaches his door, he turns while the VW drives past and punches the wing mirror clean off.

The man, a local plumber, later took to social media to apologise for his behaviour and claim he had been provoked by the other driver.

He alleged the VW driver reacted by following his van after he overtook him at a set of traffic lights.

He claimed when both vehicles stopped the VW driver threw a milkshake into his vehicle, causing damage to the interior – although there is no footage to verify this accusation.

He said: ‘I would like to formally and from the deepest part of me apologise for my actions. I should not have retaliated and responded in that manner.

‘On my way back to Parkstone, I overtook someone at the traffic lights as they didn’t realise it had changed, the driver of the vehicle then decided to chase me through another set of traffic lights and position his vehicle on the wrong side of the road.

‘When I wound my window down to talk to him, he proceeded to throw a milky liquid through my window and it has now damaged my electronics in the vehicle which has now got to come out of my pocket.

‘I then followed after the vehicle on to which I regrettably lost my temper. I know my actions weren’t justified however I’m asking for some forgiveness as this whole situation has clearly gotten out of hand. ‘

Dorset Police said they had no reports of any complaints following the incident that happened yesterday.
