Zack Polanski ‘doubled down’ on declare he used hypnosis to enlarge boobs
The Green leader is facing fresh scrutiny over controversial comments he made about hypnosis and breast enlargement before entering politics
Zack Polanski’s assertion that he promptly apologised for suggesting hypnosis could enhance a woman’s bust size has been challenged following the resurfacing of an interview in which he appears to defend the claim days later.
The Green leader proposed he could use his mental prowess to augment the bust of a Sun newspaper journalist in 2013, prior to his political career. He has subsequently claimed he was misquoted and apologised the next day as he “recognised that would be offensive to people”.
However, in a rediscovered interview on BBC Radio Humberside dated 18 June 2013 – six days post the initial Sun report – Mr Polanski, who was a hypnotherapist at the time, seemed to reinforce his theory.
“Actually increasingly more and more as I work with people, there’s starting to become anecdotal evidence, at least, of a growth in breast size,” he informed presenter Peter Levy.
Mr Polanski expressed his belief that “it can happen” and mentioned a “successful project” with the journalist, adding that “at the moment I’m not charging people for breast enhancement”.
The interview seems to contradict statements he has made since becoming a Green Party politician.
When questioned by ITV’s Good Morning Britain in September last year if he believed at the time that hypnosis could enlarge a woman’s breasts, he responded: “No.”
In a 2024 interview with LBC, when he was the deputy leader of the Greens, he stated: “I apologised immediately, the day after the article 11 years ago, to say that doesn’t represent my work… I apologised because I recognise that can be offensive to people.”
Reacting to the unearthed interview, a Labour source commented: “Zack Polanski’s ego might have got bigger but nothing else has.
“It’s now clear that his pretence to have been misrepresented over his breast enlargement hypnosis scam was absolute nonsense – he got called out years later and he lied about it.
“You can’t trust a word he says – he’ll say whatever he thinks you want to hear.”
The Greens have been approached for a response.
