Harry Styles scores chart double with file breaking gross sales

It’s a chart double for Harry Styles whose latest album Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally tops the chart while American Girls hits No1 on the singles chart

Harry Styles is seeing double again after landing at No1 on both the singles and album chart.

The former One Direction star achieved the biggest opening week of his career so far to claim his second Official Chart Double with fourth studio album, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally. storming to No1 on the Official Albums Chart, while new single American Girls takes the top spot on the Official Singles Chart.

Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally. sold in excess of 183,000 copies in its first seven days to become Harry’s third chart-topping LP in the UK, joining Harry Styles (2017) and Harry’s House (2022). The new record comfortably surpasses the first-week numbers of Harry’s House which shifted 113,000 copies on release.

What’s more, Harry nets the biggest opening week for a male solo artist in nine years, since Ed Sheeran’s ÷ (Divide) in 2017.

The release simultaneously tops the Official Vinyl Albums Chart and nets Harry the biggest opening week on vinyl of his career, with over 66,000 sleeves sold in the past seven days to smash his previous personal best of 36,000, achieved with Harry’s House. These phenomenal numbers also mean it’s the biggest selling vinyl of 2026 so far.

American Girls becomes the British star’s fourth No1 single, joining strong company in Sign of the Times (2017), As It Was (2022) and Aperture (2026) in his tally of chart-toppers.

This isn’t the first time Harry has earnt the Official Chart Double, having achieved the feat in 2022 when As It Was hit No1 the same week Harry’s House topped the Official Albums Chart. With Harry-mania at an all-time high, Harry’s House also re-enters the Top 40 this week (31).

Two other tracks from Harry’s new LP – Aperture (4) and Ready, Steady, Go! (5) – both land inside the Top 5 this week. Three hits in the Top 5 was also achieved by Styles back in 2022, when As It Was topped the chart, while Late Night Talking occupied the No 2 spot and Music For A Sushi Restaurant took up third place.

Just two weeks after Harry Styles’ show-stopping BRIT Awards performance in Manchester, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.’s phenomenal numbers signal the best opening week for any album release so far this year, highlighting a buoyant start to 2026 for homegrown British music.

Official Charts can confirm that the first opening 11 weeks of 2026 has seen the No1 position on the Official Albums Chart occupied solely by British artists – the first time this has happened in a decade.

Harry joins Olivia Dean, Robbie Williams, Louis Tomlinson, Charli xcx, Mumford & Sons and Gorillaz in a seemingly unstoppable line of homegrown successes. The last time we witnessed such a chart-topping run of form for British music kicking off the year was 2016, with an unbroken 15-week stint of British talent.
