Top Tech CEO’s Vision Of AI-Driven Future Seems Tailor-Made For Trump

One of the most powerful men in Silicon Valley just offered an alarming vision of an AI-driven future might look like.

During a Thursday interview with CNBC, Palantir CEO Alex Karp said he thinks advancements in artificial intelligence will undermine the political and economic power of “highly educated, often female voters, who vote mostly Democrat” more than anyone.

“This technology disrupts humanities-trained, largely Democratic voters and makes their economic power less and increases the economic power of vocationally trained, working class, often male voters,” he explained.

Predicting the “fabric of our society” may soon be ripped to shreds, Karp told leaders they should be prepared to explain why certain people will be left with jobs they find worse and “less interesting” than before.

It seemed little coincidence that the Palantir boss was touting a future that would sap the most political punch from some of President Donald Trump’s least favorite demographics.

Built on billions of dollars’ worth of government contracts, the shadowy software company has deep ties to the Pentagon, the Department of Homeland Security and America’s intelligence apparatus and has been accused of being at the foundation of the modern data-powered surveillance state.

Back during January’s World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Karp shared a similar outlook on labor in the AI-dominated age.

“You went to an elite school, and you studied philosophy … hopefully, you have some other skill, that one is going to be hard to market.”

He was more blunt during a November 2025 interview with Axios, where he said, “If you are the kind of person that would’ve gone to Yale, classically high IQ, and you have generalized knowledge but it’s not specific, you’re effed.”
