Entitled celebrities referred to as out for disgusting habits at Oscars that they anticipated others to wash up

A photo showing the Oscars venue completely covered in trash after the event ended has sparked fierce backlash over the star-studded attendees’ behavior.

Hollywood’s most elite descended upon the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday evening for the 2026 Academy Awards.

But it seems that the stars did not bother to clean up after themselves following the ceremony, and social media users were not happy about it.

Journalist Matt Neglia shared a snap from inside the empty venue after the show wrapped, and the aftermath was not pretty.

Remnants of the snack boxes that were given out to attendees – which included a water bottle, a bag of SkinnyPop popcorn and some dark chocolate Raisinets – were everywhere.

Empty bottles, wrappers and other garbage covered the seats and floor.

‘Clean up on aisle ALL,’ Neglia joked in the caption.

His post went viral, gaining more than five million views, and people all across the globe were outraged that the Oscars attendees left such a mess.

‘You’re telling me people act like this at the Oscars?’ one astounded user asked.

‘Rich people leaving their dirt for poor people as always,’ scathed another.

‘Even if there’s no trash bin stationed at strategic places in view, this shows the kind of human we have amongst us,’ someone else chimed in.

‘The kind of people who expect others to clean up after them. Unseen and unthanked,’ read a fourth post.

A fifth said: ‘These celebrities lack proper home training.’

‘Really? People couldn’t carry out their garbage? And they’re the A-list of movies? C’mon…’ a different user wrote.

‘The concept of grown ass millionaires not being able to clean up after themselves makes me sick, I hate every single one of them,’ someone else commented.

‘Money can’t buy class,’ raged another person.

It comes after the Oscars were accused of being ‘cheap’ after a video of the measly snack box that was handed out to guests went viral online.

InStyle staffer Justine Manocherian’s clip of the lackluster meal, which was passed out in a cardboard box, has been circulating across the web, and many viewers were left unimpressed by the food, or lack thereof, that was provided to guests.

Hordes of social media users were quick to poke fun at the drab snack box, with some comparing it to a ‘budget airline meal,’ a ‘school lunch’ or even the infamous, disastrous Fyre Festival.

Included with the snacks was a note from host Conan O’Brien, who actually joked about how skimpy the food offerings were.

‘Dear nominee/plus one/seat filler, welcome to the Oscars,’ it began.

‘I hope you enjoy this Conan O’Brien ‘moderately happy meal.’ These snacks may not look like much but in any movie theater they would run you $85.

‘Good luck tonight, have fun and remember that loud, enthusiastic laughter is good for your health and my ego.’
