Paddy McGuinness insists superb weight reduction is actual not AI trickery

Comedian Paddy McGuinness embarked on his recent weight-loss journey after he “hit rock bottom”. He shared his transformation on social media, having followed a new fitness regime for 75 days called the 75 Hard challenge although some pals don’t believe it’s real

Suspicious friends accused Paddy McGuinness of using AI trickery after he showed off the results of his incredible weight loss.

The telly star looks ripped on the cover of Men’s Health magazine proving peak physical condition is still attainable for 52-year-old blokes.

It’s all thanks to the 75 Hard challenge – a 75-day mental toughness program focused on intense daily discipline rather than just physical fitness.

The former Top Gear host said: “A few people went, ‘Clearly you’ve AI’d the first picture.’ ‘F**king hell, you’re supposed to AI the after picture, not the before!’ I thought, ‘Jesus, that’s how bad I looked!’”

Before he embrked on the gruelling challenge Paddy had a final fling with the fast food of his dreams.

He told Men’s Health: “I thought I’m going to have a real blowout, hit rock bottom. I don’t recommend it. J

“ust for me personally, I thought, ‘I’ll see if I can get myself out of it.’”

Paddy can’t believe he’s joined the ranks of world class sports people and models on the cover of the magazine.

“You look at Men’s Health over the years, and the people who’ve been on the front of it, and you go, ‘My God, they look like they’ve been carved out of stone.’

“Just on a personal note, being 52 and a regular bloke, it’s nice to show other blokes it’s attainable.”

Focusing on his health has improved his mental health too, something he hopes will encourage others to seek help.

McGuinness has previously opened up about his struggle having been diagnosed with clinical depression.

He explained: “Knowing a few people who’ve done that [suicide], it makes me really think about my emotions more, because I wouldn’t want to end up in that space where everyone thinks you’re alright and you’re not and then it’s too late.”

Paddy hopes to keep the weight off even though he celebrated finishing the challenge in January with a curry and milkshake.

he laughed: “I ate it, but I didn’t get from it what I thought I was going to get.

“I just felt like sh*t. It actually changed something in my brain, habit-wise.”

The full interview with Paddy McGuinness can be read in the April issue of Men’s Health UK, on sale from March 17.
