A football match was halted after rival fans bizarrely launched sex dolls onto the pitch.
Rosario Central secured a 2-1 win over Argentinian rivals Banfield after Santiago Lopez’s own goal and a strike from Jaminton turned the game around in a dramatic comeback. However, the result was overshadowed by an incident in the first-half.
It was Rosario’s first match at home since their 2-0 win over bitter local rivals Newell’s Old Boys – and fans were keen to rub some salt in the wounds. Fans launched sex dolls, which were dressed up with Newell’s shirts, on to the pitch, causing a stopage.

According to local outlet La Nacion, the match was delayed for several minutes as stewards scrambled to gain back some sort of control.
Some fans were even spotted making some x-rated gestures with the dolls in the stands. And it led to their behaviour being slammed on social media by rivals.
“Let’s hope they sanction this; there are clubs that ban them from bringing flags and drums for much less,” one fan posted.
“How much of a caveman you must be to do this,” a second fumed. While a third shared: “Do these guys play every week? Every day I see a bunch of Rosario to Newell’s stuff loaded up?”
And another added: “It’s really unpleasant, that stuff with the Rosario fanbases; they’d have to suspend their stadiums for them someday…”
An investigation into the ugly scenes has been opened by the Santa Fe Ministry of Security, who say “a sanction is being evaluated”.
There was a familiar face on the bench for Rosario Central in the form of ex-Manchester United and Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria – who moved back to his boyhood side last summer.
