Man Utd icon appears to be like unrecognisable in shock profession change to ‘TikTok chef’

A Manchester United icon has seemingly made a surprising career change by posting cooking videos on TikTok after he left his last football club in December

A Manchester United icon has stunned fans with a shock career change after he started his new venture as a TikTok chef.

Javier Hernandez – who was a super sub for the Red Devils between 2010 and 2015, netting 37 Premier League goals – is still playing in his native Mexico. And he last played for C.D. Guadalajara in his native Mexico, leaving in December.

And without a club, Chicharito has seemingly made a surprising career change on social media. Football fans were left confused when he popped up on their FYP showing them how to make his favourite sandwich.

In the TikTok video, Chicharito shows off his culinary skills as he fries some beef, chops up veg and creates his own pesto for his Milanese sandwich, the Chicharito way.

And fans flocked to the comments section of the video, that has over 300k likes, to speak about their shock: “*scratches eyes* Chicharito???”

“Chicharito is doing side quests now,” a second joked adding a crying laughing emoji. While a third replied: “Now that is something that I didn’t expect today!”

“I saw this man in his prime, now bro is a chef.. before GTA 6,” a fourth joked. And another added: “This AI or am I buggin??”

The Mexican joined the Red Devils from Guadalajara back in 2010, and just his first season in Manchester he netted on debut in the Community Shield, won the Premier League and reached the Champions League final.

He would win another Premier League title with the Red Devils in 2013, before game time stated to wain under Davids Moyes. There was a loan at Real Madrid and a spell with Bayer Leverkusen before a return to the Premier League with West Ham.

He left the Hammers in 2019 and spent one season with Seville before heading back to North America with spells for LA Galaxy and Guadalajara.
