BBC Radio 1 presenter Dave Jamieson has passed away aged 76.
Boom Radio announced the news that the host has died, sharing: ‘We are so sad to share the news that our Sunday early presenter Dave Jamieson died in Spain this week. He was 76. He’s been a valued member of the team from afar for five years.’
The Edinburgh-born star began his radio career on hospital radio in his mid-teens before playing a part in the early days of BBC local radio – at its first station in Leicester. He was a guest on the Radio 1 Club and was on-air at BBC Scotland.
In a statement, bosses at Spanish radio station Nerja Gold said: ‘It is with great sadness that we hear of the passing of our friend and colleague Dave Jamieson…
