Cruz’s new single, the curiously titled Loneliest Boy, suggests the widening rift between eldest brother Brooklyn and the influencer’s immediate family has lit his creative spark.
The currently unreleased track includes lyrics about ‘breaking mama’s heart’ -and fans are convinced they were inspired by Brooklyn and his ongoing estrangement.
In one scathing verse, he sings: ‘Loneliest boy, place all your bets on him, To find something bad in somebody good, he always does, Loneliest boy, I hope that you’re listening, Don’t push all your friends away, when we’re tryna show you love.’
Elsewhere, the chorus reads: ‘So tell me you’re scared, and that you need someone to hold. Cause you’re in the room but really, does it even show?’
‘But, why can’t they see that you’re a million miles away, They’ll never know, when you look so close.’
Even closer to the knuckle, a second verse reads: ‘Loneliest boy, mama don’t talk too much, It’s breaking hеr heart.
‘It shows in the small things that you don’t do, I guess in thе end that it’s you, yourself, and you. Tell me how do you live, when you’ve got nobody to lose?’

Now based in the United States with his wife, Brooklyn recently outlined his desire to distance himself from his family in a six-page Instagram statement filled with lurid allegations.
Addressing social media followers in January, he claimed his parents had tried to sabotage his marriage to wife Nicola Peltz and have always prioritised public branding over their family relationships.
‘For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family,’ he wrote.
‘The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.’
He added: ‘Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.’
