Arsenal information: Star admits switch ‘dream’ as membership ‘think about promoting £50m ahead’
Arsenal are considering huge transfer moves as Mikel Arteta could reshape his Gunners squad again after spending more than £250m last summer
Arsenal are edging closer to their first Premier League crown in over two decades and remain well-placed in both the Champions League and the FA Cup.
Despite setbacks – including a costly 2-0 loss to title contenders Manchester City in last month’s Carabao Cup final – and a lengthy injury list causing concern, the general direction under Mikel Arteta remains hugely encouraging. But while the primary attention will be on upcoming fixtures, thoughts will inevitably start to turn towards the rapidly approaching transfer window.
Arsenal’s expenditure last summer surpassed £250million, with Viktor Gyokeres, Eberechi Eze, Martin Zubimendi and Noni Madueke all brought in to bolster the squad in an effort to win a first league title in 22 years. Should they splash the cash once more, departures will undoubtedly need to happen. Here’s all the latest news from the Emirates Stadium.

Jesus transfer update
Gabriel Jesus has confessed he would relish a return to former club Palmeiras, reports the Mirror.
With barely over a year remaining on his deal at Arsenal, the Brazilian striker faces an uncertain future. Having been displaced as the club’s preferred striker by Gyokeres, he could be poised for a summer departure – particularly if Arsenal are eager to prevent losing him for nothing when his deal expires in 2027.
Previously, Jesus has expressed his desire to prolong his Arsenal stay, but his recent remarks hint a return to Brazil at season’s end might be in the offing.
“I manage to follow [Palmeiras] a lot. That bond between me and Palmeiras was never broken,” the 28-year-old striker told Globo Esporte.
“Whenever I’m in Brazil, I go there, especially when I’ve had injuries and treated them there. Obviously, I have the dream of returning one day to play, not to end my career. I think about going back every day – my wife can back that up.”
Jesus started his journey at Palmeiras, joining the club at 14 years old before making his senior debut in 2015, aged 18. Two years later he switched to Manchester City, where he netted 95 goals in 236 appearances. He arrived at Arsenal in 2022 for £45m and has since bagged 31 goals in 117 outings, despite recurring injury problems.
Arteta weighs up forward sale
Mikel Arteta is reportedly willing to offload Gabriel Martinelli this summer, with plans to inject some new talent into his attack.
The 24-year-old forward has endured a torrid league campaign, finding the net just once in 25 matches so far. According to Team Talk, Arsenal will entertain bids for Martinelli when the season concludes, with the Brazil ace valued at £50million or more.
The club have made little attempt to hide their ambition to bring in a fresh wide attacker, having been linked with Antoine Semenyo prior to his January switch to City, alongside the likes of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Anthony Gordon and Nico Williams.
Any significant signing would likely demand room to be created within the squad – especially with Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze all vying for game time across the forward positions. Given his underwhelming recent displays, Martinelli appears most vulnerable to being axed.
A mainstay since establishing himself in the first team back in 2020, Martinelli has clocked up over 250 outings and netted 62 goals for Arsenal.
However, with his productivity and impact waning, the pathway now appears clear for a potential summer exit.
