It comes after a “kind-hearted” and “beautiful” man has tragically passed away days after a dreadful attack in the early hours outside a pub in Salford. The incident took place outside the establishment on Liverpool Road in Cadishead around 2.40am on Sunday morning (March 29).
Police and paramedics were summoned following an ‘altercation’ involving ‘several men’. During the dispute, a man suffered severe injuries and was hurried to hospital from the scene after being ‘punched and kicked to the head’.
It was confirmed on Tuesday morning that the victim remained in hospital in a critical condition. He was tragically declared dead hours later and has been identified in tributes as Ben Wright.
Tributes poured in online, describing him as a ‘beautiful human being’ who will ‘never be forgotten’ and a ‘kind-hearted soul who will never be forgotten’. It’s understood surgery was performed for Ben’s organs to be donated to save others’ lives before he died.
After the attack, police cordoned off the area surrounding Dessie’s Place pub. Three men, all in their 20s, were arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault but have since been released on bail while enquiries continue.
