Heartbreak as boy, 4, dies all of a sudden as police and paramedics swarm Bolton road

A four-year-old boy tragically died in hospital after emergency services were called to an address in Lenham Gardens in Breightmet, Bolton on Good Friday afternoon, April 3

A four-year-old lad has died after emergency services were called to a UK street. Police and paramedics rushed to Lenham Gardens in the Breightmet area of Bolton at approximately 1.30pm on Good Friday (3 April).

Emergency services were seen by locals on the street just behind the Oasthouse News shop. The boy experienced a “suspected medical episode,” according to a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police. He was swiftly taken to hospital from the scene.

Tragically, he passed away shortly afterwards in hospital. The police spokesperson stated that there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Police are conducting enquiries. In a statement, the GMP spokesperson said: “At around 1.30pm yesterday, officers responded to reports of a four-year-old boy suffering from a suspected medical episode in the Breightmet area of Bolton.”

“Emergency services immediately responded and despite their best efforts, the child sadly died shortly after in hospital. There are not currently believed to be any suspicious circumstances and enquiries are currently taking place.”
