- An amber alert remains in place for northern England, Scotland and Wales until 3am Sunday, with the Met Office warning of “severe gales” hitting central and northern regions. The Met Office declared: “Storm Dave will clear away to the northeast… leaving sunshine and showers across the UK for Easter Sunday.”
- Major transport routes face massive disruption as winds reach 66mph. The Queensferry Crossing and Forth Road Bridge have restrictions, while the A66 was completely closed due to fierce conditions.
- ScotRail has implemented emergency speed restrictions across its network, causing longer journey times for passengers. The Humber Bridge was shut to high-sided vehicles as safety concerns mount.
