Donald Trump triggers psychological well being alert as ‘loopy’ social media tirade backfires

Donald Trump has been accused of “ranting like a lunatic” after a social media post about Iran triggered fresh calls for him to be removed from office under the 25th Amendment

Donald Trump has triggered renewed concerns about his mental fitness following a Truth Social tirade about Iran that prompted demands for his removal from office. Critics branded the US President as behaving like a “lunatic”, while others implied the Orange Manbaby had “lost his marbles” following the extraordinary post concerning Iran and the Strait of Hormuz.

The message, which appeared on Truth Social on Easter Sunday, said: “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the F*****n’ Strait, you crazy b*******, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah. President DONALD J. TRUMP.”

The post referenced the effective blockade of the crucial shipping lane between Iran and Oman through which approximately a fifth of the globe’s oil supply travels.

The waterway has emerged as one of the most significant flashpoints in the ongoing Iran crisis, with disruption causing oil prices to rocket globally and escalating tensions between Iran, the United States and its allies.

British-American journalist Mehdi Hasan posted the message online and commented on X: “How is this not 25th Amendment territory?? Biden said ‘we beat Medicare’ and had to stand down as his party’s presidential candidate.

“Trump rants and raves like this, contradicts himself like a lunatic from one day to the next, and he stays as president? The GOP is ok with this?”

Mail on Sunday commentator Dan Hodges also chimed in, writing: “If this is genuine Trump needs to be removed from office quickly.”, reports the Express. “He’s clearly having some form of breakdown.”

Broadcaster Piers Morgan also ridiculed the purported post, saying: “This is embarrassing. Delete it, President – unless you want everyone to think you’ve lost your marbles.”

The 25th Amendment to the US Constitution allows a president to be ousted from office if they are considered incapable of fulfilling the powers and responsibilities of the position.

The comments emerged alongside mounting conjecture regarding Trump’s health after social media users shared unconfirmed allegations that he had been admitted to Walter Reed Hospital during the Easter weekend.

The White House rejected any health worries and maintained the President was carrying on with his duties.

Communications director Steven Cheung maintained Mr Trump had been “working nonstop” over Easter, while the administration’s rapid response team branded the speculation as “insane conspiracy theories”.

Trump has also faced an ongoing focus over bruising on his hands and past health matters, including his 2020 hospital admission with Covid.
