Now that the warmer weather is on the way, many will want to spend more time outdoors. That’s why now is a great time to invest in some outdoor lighting – and Amazon is selling some discounted festoon lights in a limited-time deal.
The DSLebeen Battery Festoon Outdoor Lights are currently available from Amazon for £15.29, down from £23.39. The deal runs until April 7 while promotional stock lasts, and shoppers have given the lights an average overall rating of 3.9 out of five.
These are described as ‘festoon string lights with G60 large, warm, white LED globe bulbs’, and they are said to add a cosy, romantic atmosphere for either indoors or outdoors. It’s worth noting that three AA batteries are required, but these are not included.

The 30ft (9.1m) lights are equipped with a remote control, which is dimmable from 0% to 100%, and users can choose from eight lighting modes. The remote controller also has a timer function, and the lights are IP64 waterproof, with a waterproof battery box.
If shoppers are looking for alternatives, however, Dunelm has these 20 LED Premium Festoon Outdoor String Lights for £32. These are mains powered and suitable for indoor and outdoor use, and they are ‘perfect for brightening up your outdoor space’, the site says.

Shoppers can save money with the limited-time deal
Or at Debenhams, there are these Valiant Outdoor Garden String Bulb Lights for £14.99. These are weatherproof string lights that create a ‘warm, inviting ambience’, the site says, and they are 12.5m long. They can be used both indoors and outdoors.
Returning to the DSLebeen Battery Festoon Outdoor Lights on Amazon, shoppers have left positive reviews. One said: “Bought these lights for our garden and I’m really pleased with them. The warm glow from the bulbs creates a lovely cosy atmosphere in the evening, especially when we’re sitting outside. They look much more expensive than they actually are.”
A second person said: “Fantastic outdoor lights, exactly what I needed. These battery‑powered festoon lights exceeded my expectations. The warm glow is perfect for creating a cosy atmosphere in the garden, and the rechargeable batteries last much longer than I anticipated. The control box is simple to use, and the timer feature is a great bonus – set it once and forget it.”

Some others deducted stars, with one writing: “They look lovely up in my gazebo. The only issue we had was unravelling them out the box without smashing them. It takes two people and patience to untie them all.”
Another said as part of a longer review: “They are nice, soft lighting. Not very bright. My main complaint is they say nine metres but over three metres of that is cable, so on a pergola that is 3m x 3m. I could only get the lights on two sides where I wanted them on three sides. This should be clear on the information.”
