Lofty 6ft 4in mannequin who ‘leans down’ to kiss her boyfriend says it is a ‘activate’

Towering 6ft 4in Lizzy Jade Groombridge says being seven inches taller than boyfriend Ollie Cozza (5ft 9in) – and nearly 7ft in heels – turns heads but is a turn-on they embrace

A woman who towers over her boyfriend has revealed their striking height difference is actually a turn-on – not a turn-off. Lizzy Jade Groombridge stands at 6ft 4in, a full seven inches taller than her partner Ollie Cozza.

The 31-year-old content creator dwarfs her sales rep boyfriend, 29, who is 5ft 9in. When she slips on her highest heels, Lizzie can reach almost 7ft tall. Despite their eye-catching difference, the couple – who have been together for two years – insist they are just like any other pair. Except, of course, when they walk into a room.

“We live a pretty normal life together but the one thing that always catches people’s attention is our height difference,” Lizzie from Truro, Cornwall, said.

She added: “When we walk into a room together, people definitely notice straight away, especially as I almost always wear heels. But it never felt like a problem [to us].

“If anything, it just made our relationship a bit unique.” Far from being intimidated, Lizzy says Ollie fully embraces being a short king – and has never once asked her to ditch the heels.

She said: “He’s always been really confident and Ollie’s definitely never asked me not to wear heels. If anything, it just makes the height difference even funnier and kind of a turn-on.

“He loves how striking it is when I walk into a room and how I naturally stand out. Ollie’s said it makes me feel powerful and feminine in a unique way, and that confidence is a massive part of what attracts him.

“He also really likes my long legs, my presence and just how different I am from what people might typically expect. Ollie told me being with a tall girlfriend feels exciting and out of the ordinary, which he finds really appealing.

“It naturally creates a more playful and dynamic contrast between us. I’m 6ft 4in, so it makes me feel more dominant and confident, while he enjoys the contrast and finds it sexy in a way that stands out from more typical relationships.

“It also adds a unique element to our chemistry and how we interact day-to-day, as well as physically, which is something people often find interesting and relatable.” Lizzy admits the couple often turn heads wherever they go.

Wile the pair laugh off most reactions, the influencer admits some comments can be awkward – especially when aimed at her beau. She said: “Sometimes people make comments like ‘Does it bother you that she’s taller?’ directed at Ollie, which can be a bit awkward.

“But we usually just laugh it off. The height difference doesn’t bother us at all, it seems to bother strangers more than it bothers us.

“The funniest thing is watching people try to work out what’s going on when we’re standing together. People will stare or double-take because they can’t quite believe the height difference and how tall I am.

“We’ve even had strangers ask to take photos or ask to see if I’m wearing massive platform shoes. Insecure men can’t handle it [the height difference] but confidence makes all the difference.

“I’d say to anyone who feels insecure about dating a taller woman, don’t worry about what other people think. If you like someone, height shouldn’t matter.”

Aside from towering over her fella, Lizzie has also been trolled herself – simply for being a tall woman. She added: “I do get quite a lot of negative comments.

“Some of the most common ones are people saying I’m ‘too tall to be feminine’, calling me intimidating in a negative way, or making comments like I ‘look manly’. I also get people saying I should date someone taller because it looks weird or telling me to stop wearing heels because it makes others uncomfortable.

“Unfortunately, it does go further than that at times with some trolls questioning my gender entirely and calling me trans as an insult, which is obviously untrue and also really disrespectful. I’ve also had people compare me to a giant or say men must feel emasculated being with me, which again just isn’t the reality at all.”

While there are a few practical adjustments in day-to-day life, Lizzy says it is nothing the couple can’t handle. She added: “Sometimes we have to adjust things a little bit like I’ll lean down for a kiss or he’ll stand up leaning.

“I’ll tease at times. But you naturally work it out and it becomes completely normal.

“Our relationship is just like anyone else’s. We love each other for who we are.”
