Bold lag sneaks KFC meal into cell at high-security jail and brags about it on TikTok
A TikTok clip appears to show an inmate inside Category B HMP Elmley in Kent tucking into a KFC bucket in his cell, as commenters joked about smuggling methods
A prisoner has filmed himself with a KFC in his cell at a high-security jail – then uploaded the clip on TikTok. The short video reportedly appears to show a six-piece bucket of fried chicken before the camera moves to a window, revealing a large perimeter fence outside.
It is captioned “KFC in HMP” and includes a sticker identifying the location as the category B prison at Elmely, on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent. Viewers in the comments joked about how the fast food could have been brought into the prison.
One asked: “How much the officer getting paid?” Another wrote: “Bro paid the guv for his lunch.
“I had Dominos a couple times when I was banged up.” A third questioned whether it could have been dropped in by drone, asking: “I always wondered, if it’s by drone, how do they make sure it gets to the right person?”
According to the Sun, a prison service spokesperson said: “This behaviour is not acceptable and we’ve requested the removal of these posts. We are investing £40million in new security measures to clamp down on illicit items and those who break the prison rules can face extra time behind bars.”
Food has been an ongoing issues for those behind bars. Last year, prisoners were sacked from their jobs making “canteen goodie bags” for other inmates after they were caught stealing more than £800-worth of items a week.
