Cops sentenced to demise after torturing and killing dad and son over lockdown breach

Nine policemen are set to be executed after they were found guilty of torturing and killing a father and son who allegedly broke COVID 19 pandemic restrictions by keeping their shop open

A total of nine thuggish cops are set to be executed for their roles in the death of a father and son. Following years of investigations and court cases, the nine officers were found guilty of murder after they tortured and killed a dad and his son who were arrested for lockdown breaches during the COVID 19 pandemic in 2020.

P Jeyaraj, 58, and his son Benicks, 38, both died in police custody in a Tamil Nadu jail, in India, having been stripped, humiliated and viciously assaulted in front of each other over the course of a couple of days.

The father and son were initially detained after they allegedly kept the mobile phone shop they both worked at open outside of designated hours, breaking local lockdown policy.

The draconian cops arrested the pair, before inflicting them to days of brutal torture. The judge who gave the sentence to the nine men said that he hoped the murderous officers were “never forgiven”.

He stated: “the case was a rare one where the police officers, who were obligated to maintain law and order, had themselves acted against the law and brutally assaulted the father and son, who did not have any criminal case against them. They attacked unarmed people.

“They should not be forgiven. They should not be given lesser sentences based on their age or family background.

“They are all educated” He added: “They did this with the intention of killing.”

The court also ordered the officers to collectively pay compensation equivalent to to £112,000 to the family of the dead father and son. 10 cops were initially charged with the heinous killings, although one of the group died of during the investigation, reportedly from the Coronavirus.

The nine cops who are set to receive the death penalty will have the chance to appeal. The case sparked outrage in India, with many political figures and celebrities posting their outrage at the father and son’s murder using the hashtag “JusticeForJayarajandBennicks”.

Popular actor and Nick Jonas partner Priyanka Chopra wrote: ”Reeling from what I’m hearing. Absolutely stunned, sad, and angry.

“No human being deserves such brutality, whatever be their crime. She added: “The guilty must not be allowed to go unpunished.

“We need facts. I cannot even begin to imagine what the family must be going through.
