Ladies Day 2026’s hottest appears from horse hat to polka dots, Miss England and woman in crimson

Ladies Day is the glamour-filled highlight of the Grand National Festival with thousands turning out as much for the fashion as the racing itself. Taking place during the world-famous Grand National meet, the second day is known for its dress-up atmosphere and the on-course Style Awards, which celebrate standout outfits, millinery and tailoring.

This year, Hannah Smith, 29, from Edinburgh, claimed the coveted Best Dressed title for her Leyna dress paired with headwear by Millinery by Mel, while Best Suited went to 22-year-old Euan Perryman from Huyton in a custom-made Loro Piana ensemble. Best Hat was awarded to Sarah Williams, 46, from St Helens, for her statement piece from Gilly’s Millinery.

With sunshine adding to the carnival mood, DJs and live music kept crowds dancing across hospitality areas and outdoor spaces from the moment the gates opened, as Echo photographers captured the showstopping looks that defined Ladies Day 2026.
