Prior to his trilogy fight against Deontay Wilder in October 2021, the 37-year-old revealed his scepticism over the benefits of not having sex during boxing camps, but insisted he’d stay true to a sex ban before the clash.

He said at the time: “No shagging before fights? Nah, that’s a myth, don’t believe it. But my d*** will be in my pants – it’s in there more or less full-time but it might be coming out after the fight.

“I don’t believe in sex in training camp, I am an old school fighter and I like to keep nice and strong, keep it all in the tank and then take out all the aggression on the night.

“I’m not relieving myself once a week – let alone once or seven times a day. I don’t even remember when I had my last w***!” Plenty of research has been done on the possible benefits of abstaining from intercourse.

Some indicates it could lead to a temporary peak in testosterone, which may increase aggression. Many boxers also believe sex makes your legs weak, which could hamper their movement in the ring.

However, Fury has stripped himself of that rule ahead of his fight against Makhmudov as he opened up about the frequency of his love life during the newest series of At Home With The Furys. He revealed: “My love life’s thriving.

“I’m having sex at least four or five times a week. Paris, she is that ride-or-die chick. The woman’s been my wife for 20 years near on. Is she the luckiest lady on Earth? One hundred per cent.”

Despite their already busy household, Fury revealed that his dream is to have 10 children. He continued: “We might have another child, number eight. Just to see if I’ve still got it. But I want ten. It was always going to be ten.”
