LK Bennett shuts web site tonight with not less than 80% off the whole lot
The iconic UK high street fashion retailer LK Bennett has announced the closure of its website tonight (April 13) with at least 80% off and up to 90% off designer dresses, shoes and accessories
A beloved UK high street fashion brand is shutting down its website within hours, tempting shoppers with massive final reductions in what it’s calling its “biggest ever sale”.
LK Bennett has announced its website closure, happening tonight (April 13), while slashing prices by a minimum of 80%.
The retailer has also revealed an online exclusive clearance offering up to 90% off its premium dresses, footwear, and accessories, with bargain hunters able to snap up last-minute deals today.
The company, established by Linda Bennett in London in 1990, went under in January, with John Noon and Mark Firmin of Alvarez & Marsal Europe LLP brought in as joint administrators that same month. The label has subsequently been purchased by American company Gordon Brothers, though nine standalone shops and 13 concession outlets across the UK weren’t part of the agreement.
Last month they launched clearances offering up to 75% reductions, reports the Express.
Regarding the sales, a spokesperson commented: “There are some truly exceptional offers available across all categories. Everything has been reduced, including new season pieces.
“We anticipate strong demand and expect key styles to sell through quickly; we would like to thank our loyal customers for their support over the years and invite them to shop early to avoid disappointment.”
LK Bennett is renowned as an upmarket women’s fashion label, focusing on frocks, knitwear, high-end footwear including boots, and handbags. Shoppers now face their final opportunity to browse the numerous deals on offer before the ultimate shutdown.
The label is also favoured by Princess Kate, who has frequently selected it for official royal duties.
Last month, a notice on the website stated: “The Company’s affairs, business and property are being managed by the Joint Administrators, who act as agents of the Company and without personal liability.
“The Joint Administrators, the Joint Administrators’ firm and any of the Joint Administrators’ partners, employees, agents or advisers will not bear any liability, whether personal or otherwise under or in connection with the terms and conditions nor any other policy.”
