Baywatch star David Charvet accused of placing and killing canine together with his truck in ‘hit-and-run’ incident
A woman has accused Baywatch star David Charvet of fatally striking her dog with his truck before taking off.
Vera Errico claims Charvet struck her 11-year-old dog early Thursday morning as she walked him on a leash through a gated Malibu community, according to TMZ.
The dog was rushed to the vet where he was sadly euthanized.
Errico claims she was walking Sunday, her English Labrador, along with two other of her dogs on their leashes just before 6AM when Charvet drove by in his pick-up truck.
Charvet, 53, allegedly struck Sunday and drove out of the community without stopping. Errico believes Charvet called police only after driving out of the community.
Charvet had ‘no comment’ when reached by TMZ about the alleged incident and referred the publication to his publicist. The website has not yet heard back from his rep.

The Daily Mail has sought comment from Charvet and the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station but has not yet heard back.
Charvet played Matt Brody on the beach rescue drama Baywatch from 1992-1996 and is father of two, son Shaya, 18, and daughter Heaven, 19.
The actor walked away from a successful Hollywood career in order to spend more time with his children.
The former singer shares them with ex-wife Brooke Burke and said he decided to make some changes to his lifestyle when his first child was born.
‘Before I had my first child I was traveling for five years in 42 countries doing concerts for my music. There’s no way I could do that again. I had to find a different meaning to my life,’ he previously told Page Six.
‘I didn’t want to go and take a TV show that was in Canada, I didn’t want to travel to Europe to do my music. I wanted to stay home and I wanted to be a good dad. I wanted to be there for my children every single day.’
The Melrose Place actor said he stumbled on his new career accidentally, while building a new house in Malibu in 2006.

The actor turned builder explained he was unhappy with the original contractor’s work on the home, so he fired him and took over with help from the project manager.
‘We finished the house, and every time that we invited people over … they were like, “My god this house is so beautiful. Do you think you could do it again?”’
Charvet’s last on-screen performance was in 2013’s Prisoners of the Sun.
The former actor returned to the small screen for as short stint in 2017, teaming up with then wife Brooke for The New Celebrity Apprentice.
However, the couple separated the following year, but the divorce wasn’t finalized until 2020.
Transitioning to his new life after two decades in the spotlight was not without regrets.
The former Prisoners of the Sun star said he lost his identity for a while, but has reconciled to the change. ‘My job today is I service people. I’m a service person. I’m no longer the star.
Charvet has kept busy with his new life and career.
He is a partner in The Jones Builders Group, a residential contracting company, in Los Angeles that builds between 10 and 14 houses a year.
