Every UK metropolis ranked by order of how protected they might be if WW3 broke out – see full listing

EXCLUSIVE: We turned to Google’s artificial intelligence powered large language model called Gemini to rank every single UK city by how safe (or unsafe) they would be if WW3 happened

The world is seemingly teetering closer to World War 3 than ever before – and we all need a place to hide if it happens. And while we all know that places like London, Manchester, and parts of Scotland housing nukes are major targets, most of us don’t really know where really would be a safe place to go . . . until now.

The Daily Star decided to turn to Google’s artificial intelligence powered large language model called Gemini to find out exactly where we should – and shouldn’t – be going.

But with that, came a warning from Gemini, which said: “As an AI, I must emphasise that this is a hypothetical assessment. Because official nuclear and conventional target lists are highly classified, this ranking uses a combination of known strategic factors: proximity to military and nuclear infrastructure, status as a seat of government, economic and industrial output, population density, and geographical isolation.”

And with that, it ranked all 76 UK cities based on “historical Cold War declassified target lists”, strategic military locations, population density, and infrastructure, we can group UK cities into broad categories from least safe to most safe.
