Iran’s truce treachery as navy chiefs dig out secret missiles for ‘Red Sea blitz’

Iran is reportedly using a 14-day truce to unearth buried missiles as Donald Trump pushes for a peace deal amid threats of a massive US ground invasion

Defiant Iran is reportedly using a temporary ceasefire to unearth hidden missile launchers buried during a massive US and Israeli bombardment.

Recent satellite imagery appears to show rogue regime using the pause in fighting to clear debris from underground bases that were previously neutralised by US and Israeli airstrikes.

While the world hopes for peace, Tehran is claimed to be preparing to unleash its Houthi proxies to choke off the Bab al-Mandab Strait, also know as the “Gate of Tears”, threatening a staggering 10% of all global trade. The subterranean bases, located in Tabriz and Khomeyn, were a primary target of Operation Epic Fury. US and Israeli blitzes strategically collapsed the entrances to trap Tehran’s deadly arsenal underground.

However, satellite imagery now shows massive excavators scooping up rubble and fleets of trucks hauling away debris to unblock launch sites. Despite Secretary of War Pete Hegseth claiming the Iranian missile program was “functionally destroyed,” US intelligence now warns that 50% of the launchers remain intact.

The Middle East remains a powder keg as the US enforces a strict blockade on Iranian-linked vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. While some ships initially attempted to run the gauntlet, American forces confirmed they were forced to stop or turn back.

The blockade was triggered after Iran refused to grant free passage through the waterway – a non-negotiable condition of the current 14-day truce.

US President Donald Trump has struck an optimistic tone, even as he builds a massive 10,000-strong invasion force in the region.

Speaking to Fox News, he said: “I think it’s close to over. I view it as very close to over.” The President later told Sky News that a deal is “very possible” before King Charles arrives for a state visit later this month.

He further teased a breakthrough to ABC News, saying: “I think you’re going to be watching an amazing two days ahead.”

Vice President JD Vance is expected to tighten the screws in upcoming peace talks in Pakistan. The White House is demanding a total halt to all uranium enrichment as part of any deal. If the regime refuses to buckle, the alternative is a potential ground offensive.

The US has already deployed 6,000 soldiers aboard the USS George H W Bush, along with 3,000 elite airborne troops and 5,000 US Marines currently closing in on Iranian territory.

While Israel expects the ceasefire to be extended, the sight of Iran digging out its secret missiles suggests the regime may be preparing for a final, bloody showdown.
