KFC to hit Brits with spiciest meal but as limited-edition spice problem hit the menu

A new spice challenge is to hit the UK in days as KFC unveils their new Daredevil Zinger burgers meals. The food giant are urging Brits to step up to the plate to see if they can handle the heat

The UK is preparing for a sizzling new selection of burgers as KFC unveils their brand-new range of searing Daredevil Zinger burgers.

The new range is packing serious heat and is scheduled to hit the UK in only a matter of days. In a new addition to the Colonel’s menu, the three-level heat challenge will arrive in restaurants across the country for just 4 weeks from 20 April until 17 May.

The limited-time menu encourages fans to tackle three burning flavour intensities: Hot, Hotter and Hottest. KFC enthusiasts have been encouraged to challenge themselves against friends to discover who can handle the heat.

KFC’s Zinger range is crowned with cheese, sliced jalapeños, crisp iceberg lettuce and burger sauce. And on top of this each burger is completed with your preferred heat level in mind.

Starting at beginner-friendly Sweet Chilli to a zesty Supercharger and peaking at a blistering Sriracha Firecracker, the Colonel has a spice level for all. Couple with all this every Zinger is packed within a brand-new spicy habanero bun, brining heat from start to finish.

The new burgers hit the menu along with KFC’s new Daredevil Loaded Fries. KFC’s signature seasoned fries are topped with popcorn chicken and sliced jalapeños, smothered in Sweet Chilli and Zinger Ranch sauce.

The Daredevil Zinger Menu is available from 20 April to 17 May, at participating KFC restaurants.

KFC is not just proud of their food but also their work outside the kitchen. The fast food giant is also incredible invested in the development and careers of their 27,000 employees.

The chicken shop conglomerate were the first restaurant to launch an honours degree. Since its 2015 launch, the KFC Foundation has paid out grants totalling £6 million to its charity partners who are passionate about developing and nurturing young people across the UK.

The development comes as KFC has been named Britain’s most nutritionally balanced fast food chain. Analysis of 1,898 menu items exposes the myth that expensive equals healthier, the Branding by Garden study found.

The brand agency gave KFC a 81.11 nutritional score out of 100 across nine major chains. Pret a Manger ranked seventh, with a nutritional score of 70.60, despite premium positioning and pricing.
