Bloke rams mobility scooter into group of individuals exterior pub and sparks scrap
Bizarre footage has emerged from a UK pub of a man appearing to to deliberately drive his mobility scooter into three people at a crossing, causing a chaotic fracas
A British high street descended into total chaos after a man appeared to deliberately drive his mobility scooter into three people at a crossing.
Footage taken from a pub window seems to show the scooter driver aim his vehicle directly at the group, who are already involved in some sort of physical altercation while waiting to cross the road. A woman not hit by the apparent scooter assault can then be seen retaliating to the attack by swinging a handbag at the driver, striking him repeatedly.
The same lady is later filmed hitting another woman with a smaller bottle-shaped object.
The scooter driver quickly begins to reverse away from the scene, while the four pedestrians verbally berate him for hitting them.
Nobody appears to be hurt in the incident, which took place on Cavendish Street in Keighley, Bradford.
The video, which was posted by Danny Emsley on Facebook on Friday (April 17), was taken from behind the window of a popular local pub called The Cavendish.
It’s not known whether any of the five people involved in the altercation had earlier been drinking at the pub, however those being filmed do appear to stagger when walking and require assistance when standing up.
On Facebook, social media users shared both their shock and amusement at the bizarre fracas.
One user wrote: “Who needs karaoke when u have entertainment like this”.
Another added: “This is why Riddlesden houses are so cheap”
A third simply posted: “Keighley’s finest”.
Another user claiming to have seen the aftermath of the scrap said that the argument had continued long after the poster stopped filming.
He wrote: “I caught the back end of it when I was on the phone underneath the multi storey car park. They carried on all the way into the bus station & someone was trying to stop the fella on the scooter going back for round 2”.
