Shocking footage reveals man in hockey masks attacking stripper and reducing her hair
A tourist was arrested in Key West, Florida, after police say he returned to a strip club wearing a hockey mask and used scissors to grab a dancer by the hair and cut it off
A tourist who was allegedly intoxicated and possibly under the influence of drugs was arrested after he was said to be attacking a stripper, cutting her hair with scissors while wearing a hockey-style mask. Police said the incident happened at VIP Gentlemen’s Club, in Key West, Florida, USA.
According to an arrest report, the alleged culprit, who was arrested on Tuesday (April 14) was identified as Jeffrey Marshall Carroll, 44, of Columbia, Tennessee. He was accused of having caused problems earlier in the evening before leaving the club.
Investigators reportedly said Carroll arrived around 6:20 pm for a private dance. He then reportedly told one dancer he did not want her services.
He consequently allegedly had a session with another dancer, the later victim, before leaving about 25 minutes later. Police said he returned about 10:10 pm shirtless, wearing grey shorts and an orange hat, with a hockey mask on.
The dancer he previously turned away was sitting on the front porch and began recording video because, she told officers, he was blocking her path back inside, Local10 reported. As the victim opened the door to let her co-worker back into the club, security footage showed Carroll grabbing the victim by the hair, pulling scissors from his back pocket, cutting her hair and then running out while still holding the scissors, police said.
The co-worker reportedly called police after hearing the victim scream, fearing she had been badly injured. The report says she was not seriously hurt, but was visibly shaken and emotional, as per Local 10.
The victim also told officers that earlier Carroll had threatened her, saying, “I’m gonna take your life”, before leaving the property.
Police said the club had a copy of Carroll’s identification, and officers later located him near Louisa and Simonton streets. Authorities said Carroll refused to speak with officers, according to Local 10.
Police reported finding an amphetamine pill not in a proper container and a pair of black scissors in his possession, and noted he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
Carroll was reportedly arrested on three felony counts: aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony, and possession of a controlled substance.
Jail records show Carroll was being held at the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office facility in Key West with no bond listed.
An arraignment is scheduled for April 23, according to MCSO records.
