Boy plunges from window of excessive rise flats as blue forensic tent seen at horror web site

A teenager has been rushed to hospital after falling from a window at a block of flats in Edinburgh – police are investigating the circumstances of the incident

A teenager has been rushed to hospital after plummeting from a window at a block of flats. Emergency services raced to Margaret Thomson Crescent in the Leith district of in Edinburgh at 9.40pm on Monday, 20 April.

A 16-year-old boy was discovered to have fallen from the window. He was swiftly transported to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. His current condition remains unknown.

Police have erected a forensic tent as they probe the incident. A section outside the flats has been cordoned off by officers, reports the Daily Record.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland stated: “Around 9.40pm on Monday, 26 April, we received a report of a person having fallen from a window in the Margaret Thomson Crescent area of Edinburgh.”

“Emergency services attended and a 16-year-old male youth was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
