Chelsea followers make Liam Rosenior emotions clear with X-rated chant as supervisor on the brink
As Chelsea fell to another damaging defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion, the Blues fans who travelled to the Amex Stadium made their feelings know
The Chelsea fans who travelled to Brighton and Hove Albion sang ‘f*** off Liam Rosenior’ as the Blues feel to another awful defeat. The Seagulls secured a fourth consecutive victory over the west Londoners, easing their way to a 3-0 home victory.
For Rosenior, it was a fifth consecutive Premier League defeat and a seventh in eight matches in all competitions. It was a nightmare display from the start of the match, as Ferdi Kadioglu took advantage of more poor set-piece defending from the west Londoners to score after just three minutes.
Rosenior ditched the back-three formation he deployed at the start of the match and Chelsea initially looked to have improved after half time, but Jack Hinshelwood ended any optimism by doubling the lead in the 56th minute. In injury time, Danny Welbeck confounded the Blues’ misery by scoring a third.
In-between Brighton’s second and third goals, chants off ‘F*** off Rosenior” could be heard from the travelling Chelsea fans. Seagulls supporters then collectively broke out in chants off ‘Liam Rosenior, he’s one of our own” to support their former player.
The response from his former fan base would have done little to ease the stress on the Chelsea boss. A win for the west Londoners would have breathed new life into their hopes of finishing in the Champions League places.
If results go against them, they could soon be as low as 11th.
