Jenna Bush Hager Shares How She REALLY Feels About People Saying She Looks Like Her Dad

Jenna Bush Hager loves her father, former president George W. Bush, but that doesn’t mean the “Today Show” host wants to look like him.

In fact, Hager, who hosts the fourth hour of the NBC morning show with Sheinelle Jones, became a little testy Monday when Jones brought up the family resemblance.

The topic of conversation was supposed to focus on a series of interviews Hager conducted with her dad and former Presidents Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and Joe Biden, in anticipation of America’s 250th birthday later this year. The interviews will air on the show on Tuesday.

Jones asked Hager what it was like to interview her own dad.

“Well, I’ve done it a lot [and] he harasses me,” Hager said. She also noted that he likes to make “funny jokes,” especially about her 2001 misdemeanor charge for possession of alcohol.

“Hey, Dad! That’s not what we’re talking about here, bro!” Hager said she told Bush.

Then, after Hager plugged the upcoming segment, Jones noted, “God, you guys look just alike, too. I know everybody says it, but damn!”

“I know,” Hager replied. “Well, sometimes that’s not a compliment, but I appreciate it.”

“I think it is!” Jones replied, laughing.

“Well, I think my dad’s handsome, but when people say that, I’m like, ‘I look like a man?’” Hager asked.

Hager’s relationship with her father has come up on the show before. Back in November, she explained why her dad hadn’t been on the program yet.

“I’m sure he’ll still say no. He says things like, ‘I don’t watch your dumb show,’” she said, according to Page Six.
